Birthday Parties
Birthday party skates are fun for everyone. The Arena welcomes you to book during a public skate time. A dressing room will be reversed for you with a table for gifts and snacks. Some families even host a tailgate party. Admission for skating is the only cost to you. Call the arena at 250-295-7222 or the recreation office at 250-295-6067.
Grant Funding for Princeton Arena Retrofits
The Town of Princeton has been successful in an application for arena upgrades through a Government of Canada grant program called “Green and Inclusive Community Building Program”.
The grant will cover 80% of the cost of:
- Roof replacement and ceiling insulation upgrades
- Rooftop solar panel system
- Dehumidification system
- Electric ice resurface machine
- Electric ice edger
Final details and agreements will be negotiated, work will likely begin this fall and early spring 2023.

Green infrastructure improvements to Princeton’s arena
Built in 1974, with major upgrades in 2009, 2010 and new paint in 2016, the arena is a place for the community and visitors to enjoy. The arena is home to the Princeton Posse Jr B Hockey Team, Princeton Minor Posse Association, Princeton Highland Dancers, Princeton Shorei-Kan Dojo and a variety of adult recreational hockey teams.
